South Africa multi-vehicle crash kills at least 21

Deadly Roads in South Africa: A Pattern of Neglect At least 21 people died, with several others severely injured, in a multi vehicle crash on Sunday night on the N1 highway between Prince Albert and Leeu Gamka, approximately 380 kilometers east of Cape Town.

The incident involved two minibus taxis colliding head on before being struck by an SUV.

The Western Cape Mobility department's statement that the collision started with the minibus taxis crashing into each other raises questions about driver responsibility and vehicle maintenance.
