The £1. 4 million loss is a blow not only to Scheckter's personal finances but also to his reputation as an innovative entrepreneur.
After retiring from Formula One, Scheckter invested £55 million in Laverstoke Park, a 3,000 acre estate in Hampshire, with the aim of creating an integrated organic farming system.
