The Gut Microbe That Could Strengthen Aging Bodies A recent study published in the BMJ Group's journal Gut has made a significant discovery about the gut bacterium Roseburia inulinivorans.

Researchers found a clear correlation between this microbe and stronger muscles in both humans and mice.

The study analyzed stool samples from over 100 individuals, including young adults and older adults, and found that among older adults with detectable levels of R inulinivorans, handgrip strength was 29% greater than those without it.
